Almost Forgot to Mention

Congratulations America for finally not screwing up an election! Can you believe there will actually be someone in the white house who has a brain. What a crazy concept! Unfortunately, I can't offer my congrats to Wyoming and Alaska. As if Alaskans didn't already look bad enough supporting Palin, they decided to go and re-elect a convicted criminal.
Don't worry Cheney fans, Dick has proved himself to be one of the greatest puppeteers known to man. I'm sure he will have no problem getting hired by some circus or Christian fundamentalist youth summer camp.

Wyoming did it's best to keep me from voting. I went and requested an absentee ballot before I left Sheridan. I was told that as soon as the ballot became available they would mail it off to me. Midway through October I still hadn't received my absentee ballot. I thought maybe it was because there was a problem with my address. Not the case. While I never received my absentee ballot, I did receive numerous campaign mailings from local Sheridan politicians seeking re-election into various city positions. That's right they sent me junk mail. I think the problem was that when I requested my ballot I told them that I was registered as a Democrat. That must be why my ballot was either never sent or conveniently lost in the mail. No worries though. I was able to send in a Federal write-in ballot and cast my vote. Whether it was ever counted or not. Who knows. I like to think that it was. Unfortunately, Wyoming's election results were nothing to be proud of. Maybe next time.
